south street seaport residence. originally built in 1824 and set as a landmarked building in lower manhattan. following the strict restraints of the NYC landmarks commision, this project had a complete renovation of the front elevation. the interior structure was completely removed and replaced with recalimed antique beams and planks. with over a year in design, the resulting project is a intricate composition of 19th century construction methods and modern components.
