Custom Home Designs by Eric Warner

About Eric

Eric started his design career in the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University. After graduating, he moved to Austin, Texas and learned the fundamentals of residential structural design during his employment at an engineering firm. After endless hours of foundation and framing design, he moved to the production staff of a national homebuilder. This proved to be valuable knowledge of what it is like to draw homes for profit and not for passion. After learning what a true custom home should not be, he was introduced to Jeff Berkus.

Eric's experience at Jeffrey Berkus Architects consisted of projects in golf course community planning, ski mountain condominiums, builder parade homes, but most of all individual custom homes. The process of designing homes for clients was learned over many late evenings in the studio with Jeff and a trial by fire approach that is the nature of a fast paced office.

After working in Austin for seven years, Eric decided to expand his talents in New York City. He worked in an office on Broadway specializing in high end work in Manhattan. His work here took his knowledge to a new level of detail and complexity, along with a broad understanding of complicated remodeling projects.

Eric now lives in the Lake Norman area with his wife Wendy, his son Jack, and twins Tommy and Parker
